New build projects offer the opportunity to install the perfect drain system without the constraints of existing infrastructure. Our team have years of experience in installing drainage infrastructure as part of the new build process. We work with your project programme and other trades to ensure drainage is installed in sync with your build programme and meets the regulations.
Full Service
Underground drainage is the backbone of water management in new build projects. Our team design and install bespoke drainage systems that meet building regulations and are long lasting.
We begin projects with site surveys to create drainage plans to suit the ground conditions and construction requirements. Before underground drainage installation we remove excess soil or materials to make the site good to go. Using laser levels we determine the best drainage strategy and tie in with the building plans and specifications.
Garden solutions may include land drains, drainage fields or soakaways depending on the development requirements and conditions. For new builds we install full underground drainage systems with strategically placed drains connected to robust pipe systems that take the water to discharge points. Whether connecting to existing sewers or creating soakaways we ensure the drainage infrastructure is reliable.
Expertise You Can Trust
Water management requires understanding the ground you’re working with:
Soil expertise - We understand how different ground types affect drainage performance
Clay soil specialists - Experience handling challenging clay that expands and contracts with moisture
Safe excavation - Professional digging techniques that protect existing infrastructure
Surface restoration - Ground reinstatement that looks better than the original
Quality trenching - Precise excavation with correct gradients and dimensions
Thorough backfilling - Using suitable materials to prevent future settlement
Long-term reliability - Every installation built to perform reliably year after year
Surface Water Management That Works
Surface water management is different. When rainwater can’t get through compacted or clay heavy ground it creates surface puddles. Our surface water management systems deal with this at source.
A soakaway manages surface water especially where traditional pipe systems aren’t possible. Underneath the original surface, hollow plastic box crates create a reservoir that slowly releases water into the surrounding ground. Once the crates are in place and covered with a membrane, the rest of the excavation is filled with gravel or suitable backfill material to ensure stability and drainage. This works well in garden solutions where space and aesthetics matter.
We install trench drains that create channels that direct water elsewhere, perfect for driveways, patios and commercial applications. We combine traditional methods with modern materials to create systems that can handle heavy rainfall without overwhelming properties.
Surface water systems work well with underground networks. This dual approach manages water at ground level and below, gives you full flood protection.
Installation and Quality Assurance
When you choose us you get the full service from initial consultation to final testing. We visit your site to assess the situation, discuss requirements and explain options to fit your budget and needs.
Our installation process follows industry best practice. We use high quality materials including concrete and plastic components chosen for durability and underground performance. Every joint is sealed properly, gradients checked with precision instruments and connections tested before completion.
We know groundworks can be disruptive so we work efficiently to minimise daily routine impact. Our team arrives with the right equipment, works to high standards and leaves everything clean and tidy.
Reactive Solutions
When existing systems fail or properties develop water management problems you need fast solutions. Our reactive services fix urgent issues like blocked drains, system failures and emergency water removal that can’t wait.
We respond quickly to emergencies, we arrive with the equipment to diagnose the problem and implement the solution. Whether it’s standing water that won’t drain or sewage backing up our team will resolve the issue.
Reactive services include system upgrades for older properties where the existing infrastructure can’t meet the demands. We assess the current setup, identify the weaknesses and provide targeted improvements without having to replace the whole system.
FAQs
Underground pipes should be installed at least 450mm below ground level to prevent frost damage and protection. Exact depth depends on conditions and local regulations.
Costs vary greatly depending on project size, ground conditions and system complexity. We provide detailed quotes with transparent pricing. Contact us for a quote based on your needs.
Property owners are responsible for systems within their boundary, local authorities manage public sewers and surface water networks. We help you understand who’s responsible and ensure you connect to public networks.
Main types are foul water management (sewage), surface water management (rainwater) and combined systems (handling both). Each serves a different purpose and requires different design considerations.
